Learn by doing and working with others.
Our Groundwork program takes place on the mornings of our Open Community Farm Days. Over the course of 11 Saturdays, spread across six months, willing participants are offered hands-on, skill-based learning opportunities to develop their inner farmer. Groundwork covers basic growing, production, and farm management techniques, shared by a variety of experienced growers. This outdoor classroom component is available to both individuals and families, as we network with local farmers and homesteaders, offering participants insights into sustainable agriculture and a plethora of successful growing techniques. Working together in the field, the course gets down and dirty on essential topics, using multiple formats throughout the growing season to help you gain experience, confidence, and skill.
